Meet Dr. Spencer Gross

I believe the profession of dentistry is my life’s calling. Having the opportunity to work with the team of highly trained and qualified dental professionals here at Dental Comfort Center provides me with the means to strive towards excellence in field of dental medicine. I am passionate about the opportunity to use the hands, knowledge, and gifts God has blessed me with to creatively serve others and promote health.

As a South Dakota native, I was born and raised in Huron, SD. I graduated from James Valley Christian High School and am the oldest of nine children to Tom and Shannon Gross.

After high school, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from South Dakota State University in 2014. Following SDSU, I continued my education at The University of Nebraska Medical Center where I graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May of 2018.

The field of dentistry is constantly changing and progressing. I have a passion for learning new techniques and methods to better care for my patients. In this pursuit, I have completed fellowships in implantology through The Implant Pathway, along with continuing education in 3D radiology CBCT, surgery, CEREC same day crowns, clear aligner orthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry through the Dawson Academy, CDOCS, and the Spear Academy.

Dentistry has also provided me with a wonderful opportunity to show the love of Christ to others and live according to Hebrews 13:16 which says “Do not forget to do good and share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” As a member of the Christian Dental Society, I am able to lead teams of dental students to Jamaica and provide free surgical treatment to those in need at Helping Hand Dental Clinic in St. Elizabeths Perish. This also allows me to pass on my knowledge and experience to students in the beginning of their dental careers.

In my free time, I am interested in physical fitness, snow skiing, and enjoying time with my son Beckham. We love to go for bike rides, read books, build structures, exercise, swim, and watch movies.
